    May Day Festival - St. Ives

    Helston "beating of the Bounds" Walk the boundary's of Helston. The ancient ritual of Beating the Bounds is one that has been in existence since the Second Charter of Queen Elizabeth in 1585. In the days before maps it was essential to regularly walk the exact boundary to guard against encroachments.
The Beating of the Boundaries ceremony always falls on the day before Ascension Day except if this clashes with Flora Day on the 8th.

    Murdoch Day - Redruth

Held annually on the August Bank Holiday at dusk. Hundreds of torches parade around the village and harbour to the sound of Porthleven's Town Band. Open to all and torches available at the harbour market.
    Mullion Scarecrow Spectacular
The 10th year and scarecrows will be on display all over Mullion in shops, hotels, businesses and homes. This years theme - "Famous Elizabethans"
Trail leaflets at £1 from the Mullion Methodist chapel will then be available to find and identify the scarecrows. Entries enter for prize judging on Tuesday. Sweet and Savoury food will be served every day in the Exhibition and Hall open from 9am to 6pm.

Helston Carnival
10 classes and prizes for each including: Large, medium, small floats, decorated bikes, Buggy, wheelchair, vintage vehicles, decorated vehicle, group walkers, individual walkers.
Starts & Finishes at Tesco. Judging 4.45pm. Leaves 6pm.
Route: The carnival procession will leave Helston Tesco carpark at 6pm and travel down Clodgey Lane, Trengrouse Way, Meneage Street, Coinage Hall Street to the monument, and then back up Coinage Hall Street, Wendron Street, Godolphin Road and finishing at back at Tesco.
Any vintage vehicle that would prefer not to drive up Wendron Street and Godolphin Road may finish at bottom of Coinage Hall Street.
All roads on the route will be closed to traffic from 6pm.

Annual Show held on the Lemon Quay. The annual Primestock Show is a favourite with farmers and families alike. Lemon Quay will be filled with cattle and sheep as the best Cornish beasts are judged. As most of the animals are on the Nice List this year, Santa will be visiting from the 18th December up until Christmas Eve, where children can meet him and receive a special gift. Santa will also be bringing a couple of his well-behaved Elves who will be holding a workshop to make reindeer food to guide Santa's sleigh. After all this excitement, stop by the café to see what delights the festive menu can tempt you with.
